Alexandros Manakos

Cyber security expert at Apollon Security GmbH (over 24 years of expertise in the field of cyber security and IT security) and former CISO and Head of Cyber Security at HSBC Germany. Alexandros Manakos studied IT security at the University of Applied Sciences Hagenberg in Austria, worked twice at the Federal Office for Information Security (BSI) and was responsible for IT security consulting and IT security training for new employees at Accenture. He then worked for several years as IT Audit Manager at HSBC until he took over the IT Security department and steadily expanded, globalised and professionalised it over seven years as CISO. 

Alexandros Manakos is Managing Director of Apollon Security GmbH and his company supports numerous banks and insurance companies in both offensive and defensive security. He is also a lecturer at the FOM and teaches young cyber talents about cyber security in a very practical way. Alexandros Manakos is also a member of the board of the ISC2 Germany Chapter e.V.
