Since 2019, Kai Furtwängler has been CISO of tesa SE, a Beiersdorf Group company that has been developing adhesive tapes and self-adhesive product solutions for industry, commercial customers and end consumers for 125 years. Around three quarters of sales (2023: 1.7 billion euros) are attributable to industrial applications.
Kai Furtwängler previously held various IT management roles in industry and the media sector. With his business management background and over 30 years of IT experience, he manages to bridge the gap between business requirements, IT possibilities and information security necessities.
