Sandra Heger

Sandra Heger is an expert in the field of information security at universities and is highly committed to promoting the protection and further development of digital infrastructures. As the former Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) of Hochschule Ruhr West University of Applied Sciences, she was involved in the spokesperson team of the working group of university CISOs in North Rhine-Westphalia and promoted cooperation between the universities.

Since 2024, Sandra Heger has been part of the Information Security Network of Universities in NRW (NISHS.NRW), a cross-university team that strengthens information security at universities in North Rhine-Westphalia. In this role, she provides comprehensive advice to universities and promotes cooperation and the exchange of knowledge and experience between institutions.

One of Sandra Heger's main concerns is to get women interested in IT and cyber security. She actively pursues this goal through her involvement in Business and Professional Women Germany and Women4Cyber Germany.
