Sebastian Schreiber

Computer scientist Sebastian Schreiber is Managing Director of SySS GmbH in Tübingen, which specialises in the implementation of penetration tests. Born in 1972, he studied computer science, physics, mathematics and business administration at the University of Tübingen. From 1996 to 1998, he worked for Hewlett-Packard. While still a student, he founded SySS in 1998. Since 2000, Schreiber has regularly appeared as a live hacker at trade fairs and congresses in Germany and abroad, vividly demonstrating how IT networks can be taken over, passwords cracked and data extracted.
He is a popular IT security expert in print media, radio and television, for example in the Tagesschau, ZDF heute, Plusminus, hrm€x and SWR. As a long-standing member, he is also involved in the Association for Security in Business Baden-Württemberg e.V. and on the advisory board of the magazine ‘Datenschutz und Datensicherheit’.
