Thomas Heine is the publisher of the magazine for sustainable procurement ‘Kleine Kniffe’, initiator of the movement ‘Aktiv für eine nachhaltige öffentliche Beschaffung’ https://nachhaltige-beschaffung.com/%C3%BCbersicht.html and volunteers as CO-Chair of the DACH chapter of SustainableIT.org and as SPP Ambassador for sustainable procurement and sustainable IT.
Seven years ago, he developed a communication channel for sustainable procurement in the DACH region with his magazine for sustainable procurement ‘Kleine Kniffe’. Today, each of his magazines has more than 400,000 hits. The target group - procurement managers in companies, local authorities and charitable organisations - represents an annual purchasing volume of more than 2.4 trillion euros in Germany alone. These figures illustrate the immense potential for positive change through sustainable procurement. After all, every purchasing decision has an impact on the climate and the use of resources.
